SATURDAY, 24.06.2023
In bright sunshine, during the qualifying round, the players fought for a place in the main draw. The highlight on Saturday evening was, besides the Tom Walker concert in the Baloise Park Village, the Players’ Opening, where the players enjoyed the evening in a cozy atmosphere.
SUNDAY, 25.06.2023
Andrea Petkovic made an emotional appearance on this day at her farewell match “Petko & Friends” powered by FERI. Joining her on court were Anna-Lena Friedsam, Angelique Kerber and Rainer Schüttler. In addition, the first main draw matches started in front of thousands of spectators.
MONDAY, 26.06.2023
World number one Iga Swiatek was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd on her debut in Bad Homburg. She prevailed against Tatjana Maria after three exciting sets.
TUESDAY, 27.06.2023
Liudmila Samsonova secured her place in the next round in a hard-fought three-set match against Linda Noskova. The highlight for our ball kids was the private meet and greet with Iga Swiatek.
WEDNESDAY, 28.06.2023
With loud support, Lucia Bronzetti prevailed against Mayar Sherif after three sets and thus entered the quarter-finals. The perfect end to the fifth day of the tournament was the summer cinema powered by Kinopolis with an exciting film and a bag of popcorn.
THURSDAY, 29.06.2023 – QUARTER FINALS
On the quarterfinals day the Spielbank Bad Homburg Centre Court was sold out again. The spectators could enjoy exciting matches and cheered the semifinal entries of Iga Swiatek, Emma Navarro and Lucia Bronzetti. The third set of the quarterfinal match between Liudmila Samsonova and Katerina Siniakova was postponed to the next day.
FRIDAY, 30.06.2023 – SEMIFINALS
On day seven, Katerina Siniakova not only won the third set and her quarterfinal match against Luidmila Samsonova, but also beat Emma Navarro in the semifinals. She thus reached the final alongside Lucia Bronzetti, who had advanced straight to the next round due to the withdrawal of Iga Swiatek.
SATURDAY, 01.07.2023 – FINAL
Despite some rain interruptions on the finals day, the finalist of 2021, Katerina Siniakova, was able to prevail against the Italian Lucia Bronzetti. After an exciting tiebreak, she was crowned this year’s winner of the Bad Homburg Open.
