Champion 2024: Diana Shnaider

After our tournament ambassador Angelique Kerber was victorious at the premiere of the Bad Homburg Open 2021, Caroline Garcia followed suit in 2022, Katerina Siniakova 2023 and Diana Shnaider 2024.

VENUE

Since its premiere in 2021, the first ever grass tournament in Hessen has fittingly been held at a very special venue: In the historic Kurpark on the beautiful and extremely comfortable grounds of TC Bad Homburg. The club, which has long been known beyond the region’s borders, was the first tennis club on the European mainland and was founded in 1876.

English spa guests had brought the new sport to the spa town and initially played on temporarily marked out courts and in long white dresses or suits. The “new attraction” quickly experienced a boom due to the imperial family and their entourage staying in Bad Homburg in the summer and led to the founding of the first tennis club on the continent in Bad Homburg. Today, the traditional club has a stable membership of around 750 active and passive tennis fans.

Participants of the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt, such as world number one Iga Swiatek and tournament winners Angelique Kerber and Caroline Garcia, have repeatedly praised the unique atmosphere at the idyllic grounds of TC Bad Homburg in recent years.
