PAULA BADOSA IS THE THIRD TOP TEN PLAYER TO COME TO THE SPA TOWN
Last year, the Spaniard celebrated her tournament debut at the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt – and was thrilled by more than just the great atmosphere on the Spielbank Bad Homburg Centre Court.
Paula Badosa kept looking around and upwards, nodding in appreciation. She was clearly impressed with the Kaiser-Wilhelms-Bad. Last year, together with her team, she took full advantage of a day off to indulge in the extensive wellness programme of the spa, built in 1890 and located not far from the picture-perfect site.
Badosa is looking forward to one of her ‘favourite tournaments’
Actually, there were several reasons that had left her utterly in awe. ‘It really is amazing that the stands are completely full during first-round matches and there is such a great atmosphere. This can’t be taken for granted, absolutely not,’ this year’s Australian Open semi-finalist said, reflecting on her experience.
After the world’s number two, Iga Swiatek, and Jasmine Paolini, the 27-year old is the third top ten player confirmed for the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt 2025 tournament. ‘I am so excited to be coming back! It’s one of my favourite tournaments and I can hardly wait to see everyone again,’ Badosa, the current world number 10, emphasised. The feeling is mutual!
